Senior Product Manager

R2c Online are looking for an experienced and ambitious Product Manager. The ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to build a user experience strategy from the ground up, focusing on customer experience and loyalty as well as brand management.

Working directly with the leadership team and our customers, the purpose of your role will be to build and develop the product roadmap in line with business strategy and customer demand. Working with the development team you will ensure that the user experience of individuals using our platform is as efficient as possible and makes sense to people, who are often from non-technical backgrounds.

In practice this means using a range of specialist software tools to create workflows, specifications and storyboards that clearly and concisely set out features that are usable, easy to navigate, aesthetically appealing and engaging. This also mean engaging directly with users to better understand how they use the platform in their environment and business context.

You will work with a wide spectrum of users from multiple backgrounds and organisation and need to communicate effectively and multiple levels. As part of the product team you will be creating innovative and engaging experiences that solve real problems and drive efficiencies and productivity in our customers’ business.

What you love to do: 

  • To lead and manage a team of product specialists. Line management responsibilities will include technical recruitment, appraisals, 121 meetings, identifying training needs, motivating and performance managing the team.
  • To plan for team growth considering the blend/level of skills required within team
  • To assist in resourcing decisions
  • To review project progress and overview of the performance of all individuals in team
  • To coach and performance manage individual team members where necessary
  • To facilitate the smooth delivery of all projects, enhancements and support delivered by the team
  • To make sure that all team members have the latest in-depth knowledge of all onsite and relevant offsite aspects at the heart of all decisions on projects or enhancements that they make
  • To have a clear task list and plan for inducting new members into the team and bring them up-to-speed as quickly as possible
  • To make sure that all training and support that team members require is delivered internally or externally
  • Encourage pro-active discussions with client delivery and account management teams
  • Contribute regularly to discussions regarding internal process and system improvements in order to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Instigate cross team ideas and initiatives – to bring products and services together

  • Design and spatial skills to gauge the usability of a feature or application

What to expect: 

  • You will usually be office based, working at a desk and computer.
  • You will undertake a variety of tasks and will be involved in team discussions to work out approaches to given projects.
  • Informal dress code is the norm, although you may be expected to dress smartly for client meetings.
  • You may have to travel to meet clients and absence from home at night may be required occasionally.
