Find out why 18,000 fleets & workshops have chosen r2c with our no obligation 15 minute demo.
Waste, recycling and environmental services provider Bagnall & Morris have adopted the r2c Online system, featuring electronic driver pre-use checks.
With their headquarters in Wirral and operating nationally, Bagnall & Morris has initially introduced the r2c Online compliance management system at their Norwich depot. Paul Jarmay explained their reasons for choosing r2c, “The administration involved with paper driver checks and defect management can be horrendous. Our drivers are out working in some remote areas and may not visit the depot for several weeks. Before r2c we were having to wait several days before receiving paperwork through the post.”
“With r2c Online the entire paperwork element is removed, so everything gets done quicker. The driver completes his pre-use checks on a tablet device and this information is sent directly to the r2c Online system, which means any defects get flagged up straight away. From a compliance point of view it means I can check remotely online every morning if the driver checks have been completed and the real-time information means we can react to defects more quickly, book the repair in online and trace it right through to closure.”
The ability to link his entire maintenance operation through one system was one of the major selling points for Paul Jarmay, “The majority of our fleet is Scania, so once the Scania dealer network adopted the system, we decided that was the right time for us. We maintain our fleet at both in-house workshops and third party repair agents. Because we are now all on r2c Online we are all looking at the same information and we schedule maintenance, complete inspections, book work, repair defects and manage compliance paperwork in the same way & collaboratively”.
r2c Online is fast becoming the de facto standard in compliance management for the road transport industry with 10,000 fleets currently using the system. Bagnall & Morris are one company who certainly feel r2c Online is the right solution for them, as Paul Jarmay concludes, “We are very, very happy with it. The drivers are all comfortable with the new system and we haven’t missed a pre-use check since we introduced it. Following the success at Norwich the plan is to now introduce the system throughout the rest of our operation.”
Nick Walls, Managing Director of r2c Online adds “we are delighted to welcome Bagnall & Morris on to the platform. They join a number of significant commercial vehicle fleets who are taking full advantage of the complete electronic defect management process that r2c uniquely provides. Our driver pre use check application has been an incredible success in 2013, with drivers taking to it extremely quickly and the transport departments are benefiting from being notified of any defects instantaneously, ultimately reducing downtime and giving greater traceability”.
