Transport and workshop operation HTF Transport Limited, is confident using r2c Online to manage their fleet maintenance and compliance will equip them for working in a post Covid-19 world. The Oldham based outfit currently uses the system to manage operations across both their transport fleet and workshop.
“We wanted to go entirely paperless and with r2c Online we’ve been able to do that. Compliance is a huge consideration for us and r2c Online allows us to automatically track and record defects with the pre-use checks app.
“Following Covid-19, businesses are going to increasingly look to move to more remote working methods, but with r2c Online we are already there”, said Lance Bromley, Transport Manager for HTF, “r2c Online is entirely cloud-based, so even when not on-site I can still check driver pre-use reports, defect reports and fleet compliance.”
“Drivers complete their checks using the app and any defects are automatically pushed to the workshop schedule for immediate attention, or attached to the next inspection to be dealt with then. The result is less downtime and happier drivers, because vehicles are coming out the workshop in top condition rather than going in and out with the same defects.”
The direct integration between the fleet and workshop that was another selling point for HTF. In addition to their transport fleet of 16 vehicles, HTF also has an independent workshop which maintains the HTF Transport fleet as well as 360 third-party customer vehicles each year. HTF Workshop Director, Alex Bromley, explained: “Our workshop is also entirely paperless now. Inspections are completed using a tablet and once authorised the inspection sheet is saved directly to the cloud.”
